Leszek Filipowicz

Managing Director

Leszek has over 25 years of experience in consulting and advising in M&A transactions. In late 1990s he worked as the Investment Director in the Polish Industrial Development Agency (IDA), the institution involved in restructuring of the Polish industry. He served as the advisor to the Ministry of the Economy and the Ministry of State Treasury. Next, for more than 15 years, he was a member of managing board of the corporate finance practice of BRE SA, the leading Polish publicly listed commercial bank. After leaving BRE in 2013, he became one of the founders of Axelia Partners, the M&A advisory boutique focused on the small and mid-market deals

Leszek participated in numerous M&A and public market transactions, including flagship privatization projects in the Polish oil & gas and steel sectors. He worked as the advisor for the Polish and international private investors as well as for the government. He advised in M&A transactions in various industries, including energy, steel, industrial goods, food production and distribution. His more recent experience includes advising small and medium sized Polish companies in disposal or acquisition projects in sectors including logistics, professional services, distribution, e-commerce or vending.

Leszek graduated from the University of Warsaw with MA in economics. He was a Fulbright scholar at the University of Tennessee in the US. He holds PhD in economics from the Institute of Economics of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
