I
have more than twenty-five years of professional experience in International
Business Development within the USA and Latin America, and fifteen years in
Capital Acquisition service consulting to lower-middle market clients.
After 15 years working in television
commercial production, including as director of my own production company in
Miami, I saw the importance of South Florida as an evolving international
business hub.
With that in mind, I took the position of international business development director for an Austrian company, offering scalable and faulty tolerant communication servers to Fortune 2000 companies throughout the Southeast/Western United States, the Caribbean, Mexico, Spanish speaking Latin America and Brazil. It allowed me to participate as team leader in multiple technically complex multinational projects, bringing together key corporate business teams to successfully manage and collaborate in complex mission critical infrastructure centric projects.
Having moved my base of operations to Sao Paulo, Brazil to be closer to the South American markets, I established and grew an early precursor of a FINTEC/IT company focused on providing representation services in Latin America to European and American companies offering various types of remotely hosted financial and non-financial services under the software as a service (SAAS) model. This period provided a close understanding of the complexities and challenges of building and growing a business in a foreign country as a comparison to doing the same in the USA.
In 2010 I returned to Miami and focused on providing capital acquisition consulting services to lower-middle market clients. With a self-developed database of bank and non-bank contacts, and with the participation of a handful of associates experts in their field, I have led a variety of corporate debt capture transactions, international finance projects, and corporate finance consulting projects.
One highlight pointing to the level of
complexity of projects that I have lead involved the successful securing +$20MM
financing for the acquisition of ITAR (International Traffic in Arms
Regulation) controlled 'special-mission aviation equipment,' in support of a
$50MM mission-critical aerial security contract, for the federal government of
Brazil, during the 2014 World Cup games and 2016 Olympics; the largest contract
of its type in Latin America history.
As part of my technical knowhow, I have
personally arranged the purchase and financing of various types of executive
jets, air-rescue helicopters and multi-mission aircraft.
