Alexander Kalafatides brings over 35 years of leadership experience in general management and marketing across a wide range of industries, including high-technology hardware and software, e-commerce, construction, marine products and services, food and beverage, home décor, and graphic arts. In addition to his corporate leadership roles, he has successfully operated companies as CEO, applying hands-on executive oversight to drive growth and transformation. He has been actively involved in numerous mergers, acquisitions, and business sales, contributing strategic insight and operational leadership throughout the transaction lifecycle. Widely recognized as an innovative and energetic executive, Mr. Kalafatides combines deep marketing expertise with strong capabilities in sales management, operations, and finance.
Throughout his career, he has consistently delivered results by leading strategic initiatives, managing full P&L responsibilities, and executing complex business turnarounds. His extensive experience in operating, buying, selling, and integrating companies—both in the U.S. and internationally—has made him a trusted advisor and operator in dynamic, high-growth environments.
He currently serves as an Independent Director on the Board of Navios Maritime Partners L.P. (NYSE: NMM), a global leader in marine transportation. In addition, he holds the role of Special Projects Director at IUC International LLC, a designer and importer of consumer products.
Mr. Kalafatides earned his M.B.A. in Marketing and International Business from New York University, a B.S.E. in Computer Engineering and Science from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Certificate in Director Education from Drexel University's Gupta Governance Institute. He also served for many years as an adjunct professor of International Business at Drexel University.
