John draws upon twenty-five years of experience in a variety of industries.  As someone who has founded, built and operated, acquired, invested in, and sold his own middle market companies, he is in a unique position to help clients achieve their goals. He works with successful middle market privately held companies tenaciously providing services in the investment banking space. His primary focus is to assist middle market company owners divesting their businesses in complex sale transactions.  He also helps clients develop plans to raise capital for growth or restructuring, and he is skilled in buy-side M&A, having worked on-behalf of the private equity community and business owners.  With Regulation D equity crowd funding, via online portals, becoming more prevalent, John has assisted numerous companies build compelling arguments for private capital raising.  John believes strongly in his fiduciary duty and he vigorously represents his clients.

His career started as an analyst in the banking industry and evolved in many directions.  He helped Bank of America acquire and sell a number of banks in the 1990's. He formed a software company that provided specialized application development in sectors ranging from biotech to criminal justice. An NYSE traded firm with 2000 employees, Cotelligent, acquired the business in 1998 - just two years into its evolution. He acquired and built a large retail consumer electronics company.  John divested the business to a 75-year-old company that was a leader in its space. John is able to identify the nuance that exists in any company and bring that to light when marketing and negotiating its sale. He is a registered investment banker, licensed by FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority), and held to the highest technical and ethical standards.
