Michael Luz is a Senior
Advisor in the Atlanta office. Over the past 30 years he served in executive management
capacities for multinational public as well as private family owned companies
in the Aerospace, Defense and HVAC industries. In addition to his operational
responsibilities he has worked on numerous M&A opportunities from
identifying shared objectives, closing the deal to making it successful in the
aftermath.
Working
with many business owners over time he acquired a deep understanding of their
motivations, needs, challenges and concerns when it comes to engaging in
M&A transactions. He is particularly experienced in building successful
business ventures between US companies and international partners in Canada,
Europe and Asia.
Michael
was elected to the heating sector leadership board of AHRI in 2021 and was a
member of a Vistage CEO advisory board from 2015 to 2022. Michael holds a MBA
degree from W.P. Carey School of ASU, a PhD and a MS degree in Aerospace
Engineering from the University of Stuttgart, Germany. Michael is fluent in
English and German and has working knowledge of French and Spanish.
Michael
is described by his business partners and colleagues as a level headed leader
who always listens to those around him. He is always eager to learn more and
impart that knowledge on others. He approaches situations calmly and openly,
especially when the going gets tough.
