I joined CFAW in 2025 as a Managing Director after more
than three decades as a CEO and leader of mid-sized family and private equity-owned
businesses and corporate finance professional at larger organizations like UBS
and Smith Barney.
Before joining CFAW, I led mid-sized manufacturing
companies for almost 20 years, including through two successful sales—first to
the private equity arm of a top-tier hedge fund and later to a larger strategic
competitor—and a divestiture of a significant non-strategic business line. I know what clients face from both operational
and M&A perspectives.
My hands-on approach at CFAW is defined by three unique perspectives:
- I ran middle-market companies and managed their M&A for many years, and I enjoy helping these owners achieve their strategic and exit-planning goals.
- I offer sophisticated financial expertise and engage effectively with other finance professionals and also business owners and leaders with different expertise.
- And I know what it is like to be a CFAW client—the firm acted as advisor on deals for two companies I have managed.
I'm a graduate from Princeton University (AB) and live just
outside Portland, Maine, with my wife and two daughters. I enjoy history and spy books, local theater and
Broadway shows, and high school basketball.
