The report below gives a good overview of the Spring 2025 M&A activity in the Business Services Industry Sector. The Global Business Services sector is experiencing rapid growth from $618.6 billion in 2024 to $673.9 billion in 2025, showing a growth (CAGR) of 9.0% and expected to reach $921.6 billion in 2029, reflecting CAGR of 8.1%. This growth is because of globalisation, increased outsourcing, rising competition and a changing environment for entrepreneurs. In the USA, businesses are adopting generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) in their daily business operations. As per the ISG Report published in January 2025, businesses in the US are implementing GenAI-backed solutions for their services and daily business operations using various technologies resulting in improving Artificial Intelligence for Operations (AIOps). These firms are implementing low-code or no-code platforms to boost their automation development, which is allowing non-technical employees to play a major role in the automation initiatives. The UK's services export market is expected to grow over £500 billion because of the strong influence of financial, law and business advisory firms. This growth shows the huge contribution of professional business services to the UK economy. The overall UK consulting industry is expected to grow by 5%, due to factors such as increased investments in technology and AI, especially in the Pharma and Healthcare sectors. Overall, the business services industry is seeing huge growth, mainly due to the advancement of technology, regional developments, and the adoption of AI and digital transformation strategies.
