Two Investment Banking Veterans Rejoin CFA’s San Diego Team

Corporate Finance Associates Welcomes Back Klearman and Carter

Chicago, IL - July 26, 2016 - Corporate Finance Associates (CFA), a leading middle-market mergers and acquisition firm announced the recent addition of investment bankers John Klearman and Jay Carter to the San Diego office.

Jay Carter has spent over 30 years representing privately held businesses and their owners in all phases of their business life cycle, from startup and acquiring early-stage venture capital investment, through the successful sale or recapitalization of the business. In the early 2000s, Jay headed up the CFA Office in Charlotte, North Carolina and has recently relocated to Southern California, where he joins the San Diego team.

John Klearman began his career as an analyst in the banking industry where he helped Bank of America acquire and sell a number of banks in the 1990s. Later, he founded, grew and sold his own software company and a consumer electronics company. John is able to identify the nuance that exists in any company and bring that to light when marketing and negotiating its sale. Recently John took some time away from his investment banking career to work directly with a start-up technology company, but rejoins the San Diego CFA office to continue to assist clients with growth and acquisition strategies.

"CFA is fortunate to have both John and Jay rejoin our organization," said Peter Heydenrych, Chairman and CEO of Corporate Finance Associates. "Their combination of skills, professionalism and experience will serve our clients well."
