Widgery Thomas, Jr. is a Senior Associate and a long time member of the CFA organization. With more than 25 years of experience in corporate finance and investment banking, Widgery brings a wealth of experiences to each client he serves. Prior to Widgery's joining CFA in 1982, Widgery served for 22 years as President and Chief Executive Officer of Canal National Bank. Widgery led Canal National Bank through its own sale to Key Bank Corporation in the late 1970's. Widgery's prior business career includes Vice President - Sales of the Portland Company, a specialized machinery and steel fabricator.
Widgery is the past director of a publicly held chemical company and is currently Chairman of the Center for Enterprise Development (Maine CED) and the Center for Environmental Enterprise both located in South Portland, Maine.
Widgery is a graduate of Bowdoin College of Brunswick, Maine and served as a United States Naval officer during World War II.
