Bill is a seasoned advisor to middle and lower middle market companies throughout New England. His responsibilities at the CFA Portland, Maine office include new business development and assisting clients with business transition and exit strategy planning.

Prior to joining CFA Bill was a wealth advisor at Key Private Bank in Portland, Maine, where he was responsible for growing assets under management, assisting clients with business exit planning, developing captive insurance companies and working with his colleagues to develop estate planning and transition plans for family owned companies.

Bill is a founder and former CEO of The Maine Heritage Policy Center, a free market economic think tank and public policy advocate.

Bill’s community involvement runs deep. He is the past president and current board member of the Portland, Maine Community Chamber of Commerce; a Trustee of Hebron Academy; a board member of Make-A-Wish Maine; and board member of the Cumberland Club.

Mr. Becker earned his B.A. in International Business and Economics at the University of Mount Union.

Bill holds the FINRA Series 63 and Series 79 licenses.

He is a Certified Mergers & Acquisitions Advisor with the Alliance of Mergers & Acquisitions Advisors, an international professional accreditation organization and is a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor through the Institute of Certified Bankers.
