Jeff is a Principal of Corporate Finance Associates
responsible for Northern California. For the past 10 years he
has represented a broad range of companies to achieve their
strategic goals through mergers, recapitalizations, alliances
and sales. Similarly, he has represented strategic buyers and
private equity groups in establishing their acquisition criteria
and implementing their acquisition campaigns.
As CFA principal, Jeff has extensive experience and knowledge
that form the foundation for his success in the investment
banking industry.
Representative engagements include:
- Engaged by various middle market companies to accomplish a
sale or recapitalization of the business, including the
valuation, marketing documentation preparation, prospective
buyer/investor identification, marketing, qualification, auction
or limited auction management, negotiation and overall process
management.
- Retained by foreign interests to make mid-market equity
investments in the United States.
- Conceived and initiated several industry consolidations on
behalf of private equity groups.
- Engaged by numerous private equity and private investment
firms to identify acquisition targets, initiate discussions,
gather and evaluate profile and financial information directed
toward completed transactions.
- Represented a wide variety of business including:
- Three multi-unit restaurant franchise groups.
- Two publishing companies.
- Food processing equipment manufacturer & distributor.
- Cellular phone service.
- Hazardous waste transfer station.
- Plastic injection molding manufacturer.
Jeff has also been active within CFA for the following corporate
functions:
- CFA Board of Directors
- Chairman of the Acquisition Search Committee - responsible for
nation-wide buy-side assignments with strategic buyers and
private equity groups.
- Chairman of the Industry Practice Group Committee -
responsible for focusing CFA breadth and depth of experience and
qualifications into specific industries.
- Member of the Marketing Committee - responsible for ensuring
that CFA is properly represented in the marketplace,
particularly with potential clients.
Prior to joining CFA, Jeff spent 25 years with the Bechtel Group
in business management, sales and overseas venturing, including
a three-year assignment in Kuwait. He was responsible for
negotiating a number of interesting projects including an
overseas fighter base, hospital operations, Nile Transportation
Scheme, Gulf War Oil Spill Response and providing management and
technical support to the Saudi Arabian EPA and Meteorology
agency. Prior to Bechtel, Jeff spent 10 years with Kaiser
Engineers, primarily overseas on capital development projects in
Jamaica, Australia, and Greece.
