Tom Whitton began his Merger/Acquisition career with CFA in 1977. The year 2008 marks his 31st year in the industry. A native of Indianapolis, Indiana, he received his undergraduate degree from Murray State University in Kentucky. Following graduation, he was selected for the Borg-Warner Corporation management program in Ithaca, New York, where he earned a Masters Degree in 1964.

Beginning in l968, he founded Kentucky Hydra-Power, Inc. in Paducah and later formed related firms in Louisville and Owensboro, Kentucky. The technically integrated industrial supply companies, which furnished hydraulic and mechanical power transmission equipment to industry, were started from zero and grew into market leaders against established competition. After the sale of these successful businesses, he joined CFA where, among others, he has received "Office of the Year" and the "CFA Silver Medal" awards.

Clients are the owners of successful private companies in the mid-west and mid-south regions. He continues to live in Paducah, Kentucky, where he and his wife of forty-five years have lived and worked since l968. Tom and Geri have two married children and two grandchildren.

He is experienced in the sale of a wide range of businesses, among many others, plastics, metal working, auto parts manufacturing, food processing, industrial distribution, computer hardware and software, advertising, publishing, semi-trailer manufacturing, mining machinery, sign manufacturing, convention hotels, automotive equipment manufacturing and numerous others.
