Brian Ballo is a Managing Director at Corporate Finance Associates, skilled in providing private companies and small cap public companies with the full range of investment banking, corporate finance, capital arranging (both debt and equity), sale of business, and business acquisition services.
During his 14 year investment banking career, Brian has been involved in transactions totaling in excess of $250 million for numerous emerging and middle market corporations, primarily in technology industries. His extensive contacts and relationships with commercial finance lenders, banks, venture capital firms, private equity firms, hedge funds and corporate investors and buyers, enable him to effectively arrange both corporate finance and M&A transactions.
Currently, Brian focuses on providing solutions in the following areas despite the Credit Crunch and Recession:
- Factoring of account receivables and purchase order financing
- Selling middle market businesses, primarily in technologiy industries
- Delivering innovative financing solutions
Before joining CFA in 2008, Brian was Managing Director and General Counsel at Marino Capital, a Newport Beach, CA investment banking firm, where he raised capital in $10-$20 million private placements. He also helped form, and was Managing Director at, Hunter Wise Financial Group, an Irvine, CA investment banking firm, where he specialized in raising capital in private placements, and handling mergers and acquisitions, mainly for technology companies.
Brian’s investment banking services, which promote corporate growth and increase shareholder value, include forging strategic alliances, performing competitive market analysis, conducting due diligence, and utilizing Virtual Deal Rooms to get deals done faster. His business development skills combine methodical outreach to target players necessary to complete a transaction, with the art of making contact and building relationships. He collaborates with other CFA Dealmakers in CFA’s Practice Groups, particularly CFA’s Technology, Media, and Telecommunications Practice Group, of which he is a member.
Brian also serves as Corporate Counsel at a firm facilitating international money transfers, as well as at several other technology driven companies.
