Robert J. Contaldo is the Managing Partner of CFA's Chicago Office, and is a nationally recognized speaker and expert in the M&A field. During his 25-year M&A career, Mr. Contaldo has originated a wide variety of M&A assignments and has assisted hundreds of middle market companies and their shareholders with mergers, acquisitions, recapitalizations, raising debt, mezzanine and equity capital, and other investment banking transactions.
Mr. Contaldo has worked with clients in many industries and has extensive experience with manufacturing, service, and distribution concerns. To date, Mr. Contaldo has completed hundreds of investment banking deals, including transactions with companies such as:

- HIG Capital
- The Carlyle Group
- Sage Capital
- Bain Capital
Prior to joining Corporate Finance Associates in 1997, Mr. Contaldo was affiliated with one of the largest middle market investment banking firms in the United States. Additionally, he is the primary shareholder of a business services firm.
