Mr. Ytterberg is a highly experienced middle-market investment banking professional and has served as a trusted advisor to middle-market business for over twenty-five years. He has been involved in over one hundred M&A transactions totaling approximately $4 billion in transaction value and in raising approximately $1 billion in capital for middle-market companies. He has worked on transactions in many industries including industrial products, manufacturing, consumer products, food, financial services, and technology.

Most recently, Mr. Ytterberg led the direct private equity investment efforts for a Chicago-based family office and was a Managing Director with a Chicago-based private equity firm. Prior to that, Mr. Ytterberg was a Managing Director with Headwaters MB, a leading middle-market investment bank. His investment banking career also includes leading the investment banking group at Howe Barnes Hoefer & Arnett (now part of Raymond James), a boutique firm focused on the financial services industry. He also led an investment banking team focused primarily on the sales of middle markets companies at Bank One Capital Markets (and its predecessors First Chicago Corp. and American National Bank). Earlier in his career he held positions with the Corporate Transactions Group of KPMG and the Valuation Services Group of Price Waterhouse.

Mr. Ytterberg holds an MBA in finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BA in Accounting and Economics from Augustana College. He previously was a CPA.
