Roy Graham, Managing Director and Principal, joined the firm in 1997 and manages South, Central and West Texas investment banking operations. He serves on the firm’s Board of Directors and its Executive Committee. Additionally, he is a shareholder and member of the Board of Directors of Corporate Finance Securities, Inc. an affiliated FINRA registered broker-dealer.

Prior to joining CFA, Roy was an investment banker and served in executive and board capacities with companies in several industries including as: President of Petronet Corp., a Texas based E&P company; Exec V.P. of Petropoint Corp., a Texas oil producer; and Co-Founder and Chairman of Photogenesis, Inc., a 1983 Inc 500 company later sold to Ritz Camera.

Roy’s investment banking experience includes a wide array of assignments in many industries involving public and private companies of varying sizes. Representative engagements include the following:

  • Retained by a NYSE listed company to research and identify acquisition targets, initiate dialogue, gather and analyze information, assess valuation parameters and work to close nine transactions within an 18-month period.
  • Engaged by various domestic and foreign middle market companies to accomplish a sale or recapitalization of a business, including the valuation, marketing document preparation, prospective buyer/investor identification, marketing, qualification, auction or limited auction management, negotiation and overall process management through closing.
  • Contracted by a NASDAQ listed company to facilitate a joint venture with a private company to establish a supply-chain manufacturing/assembly operation in conjunction with just-in-time delivery capability for the company’s main plant.
  • Engaged by numerous corporate, as well as private equity and private investment firms, to identify acquisition targets, initiate discussions, gather and evaluate information and work to accomplish completed transactions.
  • Retained by foreign companies to identify domestic acquisition targets. meeting specific strategic criteria, initiate communication, perform analytical work and orchestrate a successful closing.

Roy earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University. He holds FINRA Series 7, 63, 79 and 99 securities licenses as well as a Texas real estate license.
